Last Minute Stocking Stuffers!

The Internets have just alerted me to the fact that a pair of Playstation 2 games I've been interested in are only $10 apiece at K-Mart, and perhaps at Best Buy as well.

Neo Geo Battle Coliseum (Playstation 2)- $10
King of Fighters XI (Playstation 2, often abbreviated KOF XI)- $10

These are brand-new games, just released in the States this month. They're budget American localizations of two very arcane Japanese martial-arts games. They're very niche titles, but if they're anywhere, they're tucked away in the large cardboard standees that K-Mart periodically puts out in their electronics section to house dozens of unsorted budget video games.

So if you just haven't found quite enough presents for Dave, like, you just need one more small thing, one of these might fit the bill nicely. I love you guys for wanting to get me one more small thing. Really, you've gotten me enough. C'mon. Stop it now. ;)

and if you're really stumped...

If you really can't decide on a Christmas gift for Jan and Dave, you might want to check out the Neiman Marcus Christmas Catalog Click on "Fantasy Gifts"
The gifts that they list are all great, but I particularly have my eye on the "Dragon Topiary" and the submarine.

Tah-Weeeeze!

Dave and I are both blessed (?) with full, luxurious eyebrows (unibrows), and near daily tweezing is required to maintain two, separate eyebrows. Currently, we share one pair of Tweezerman tweezers (the Cadillac of tweezers) and when Dave is away, I have custody of the tweezers (I need them more!). By the time Dave comes home on Sunday night, he looks like Bert! (Hahah, only kidding, I'm exaggerating for emphasis). Anywho, I know Dave would appreciate a pair of Tweezerman of his own.

The pointy kind is best. Here's a link: Tweezerman Pointed Tweezer

A Powerful Rodent

Another computer upgrade, but it's actually more of a life upgrade. See, our computer is also our media center, and we are almost always watching t.v. shows and movies that run on the computer and display on the television. Problem is, we watch the t.v. over here, but the computer mouse (which we need to start, stop, pause and rewind and whatnot) is over there. The particular solution to this problem that we both especially covet is Apple's Wireless Mighty Mouse.

It's kinda expensive, which is exactly why we haven't bought ourselves one yet. But, see, that's where you come in :)

Gonna upgrade 'ja!

Boring gifts, I know, but our computer desperately needs more RAM, and my iPod desperately needs a new battery. Our 17-inch 1GHz iMac G4 w/USB 2.0 needs a 1-Gigabyte PC-2100/2700 DDR SO-DIMM module, and my iPod is a 1st Generation iPod Mini. I'm not even sure where the best place to find these things might be. eBay, maybe?

Oooh! And you know what would be nice? A car charger for my iPod! I do take a lot of long trips, and a power cord that charges from the car's cigarette lighter would be awesome!

A Buncha Games

Like I don't already have too many video games. Here're some I'd love to play. Look for them at Rochester-based Game Craze stores. I like shopping at Game Craze because they're a great, well-stocked independent chain, and I like to support a local business and put money back into the local economy. But it's possible you'll find slightly better prices at a big store like Target. I do suggest you avoid EB Games/Gamestop; as a former employee, I've seen shady things going on in those back rooms :p

Puzzle Quest: Challenge of the Warlords (Nintendo DS)- $29.99
Clubhouse Games (Nintendo DS)- 29.99
Bleach: The Blade of Fate (Nintendo DS)- 29.99
The Legend of Zelda: The Phantom Hourglass (Nintendo DS)- 29.99
Castlevania: Portrait of Ruin (Nintendo DS)- might be able to find it for 14.98 at Target
The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess (Nintendo Wii)- 49.99
Link's Crossbow Training (Nintendo Wii)- 19.99
Sega Genesis Collection (Playstation 2)- 19.99
Okami (Playstation 2)- 19.99?
Panzer Dragoon Orta (Xbox)- 9.99 used?

Oh. My. Gang!

Ommegang is a Belgian abbey ale made right here in New York at the Cooperstown Brewery. Cooperstown makes a variety of some of the best beers I've ever had, including Ommegang, Rare Vos, Hennepin and Three Philosophers. Actually, now that I think about it, Ommegang itself might be made in Belgium and imported by Cooperstown. It's a great beer.

At various Wegmans, I've seen four-packs of 12-oz. bottles of Ommegang for $7.99, individual 32-oz.(?) bottles of the above varieties for 4.99 apiece, and a handsome gift pack of three 32-oz. bottles with a souvenir glass goblet for 19.99.

Nigella!

Rachel is getting a little too corporate, don't you think? (come on, Dunkin Donuts?! They don't even make the doughnuts there, they come in a truck!) Nigella is British Food TV babe and I'd like her book: Nigella Express. Also, I was at Candices's recently, and I noticed that she had this awesome cookbook holder (so you don't get the pages messy) I thought that was brilliant! I don't know where they have these, but I'd love to have one.

Splish Splash

Taking tubs is my new favorite thing. I'd love some bath salts, fizzies or bubbles. :)

What time is it?

Mom- as you requested, here are a few links to some watches I like. Generally, I want a simple, easy to read yet cute watch! :)
Anne Klein Women's Red Patent-Leather Strap Watch
Fossil Women's Round Link Bracelet Watch
Anne Klein Watch

(It doesn't have to be any of these specific watches, but these are kinda the idea or type of watches I like) Thank you!!!

PS: I think I like the first one (the red one) the hardest. :)

Nook Accessories

Hello, Jan here. Sorry I've waited to post until 14 days before Christmas! (eeeek!) but here we go...
I'd love some type of clip lamp to attach behind my head up in the nook. As it is now, its too dark to read up there and I need some light behind me. Along with this, I'd love a "husband" pillow (I know, they are so totally freshman year) which will allow me to sit up in the absence of a headboard.
THANKS!!
