Last Minutes for Dave

As X-Mas is nigh well upon us, here are some suggestions in case you need just one more thing for Dave!
-Bailey's Irish Cream
-"Play" magazine
-"Edge" magazine
-"Retro Gamer" magazine
-XBox Live Subscription
-Rock Band Portable Drum Kit (XBox 360, $39.99)
-Perfect Shot (Wii, $14.99)
-Clothes that have a slightly military look? (think buckles, straps and patches... or Coldplay's Chris Martin) Like, I think this jacket looks cool:
-A new travel coffee mug (all my old ones are stinky)
-Craft-brewed beers (thick, dark or stout - no pilsners!)

Just a couple of things missing

We were so lucky to receive so much cool kitchen stuff as wedding presents. There are only two things I see missing. A whisk and a rolling pin. Now, Dave I know we have an old whisk, but its a little rusty near the handle. I'd like a cool new silicone type. They're neat! And I've never noticed that we lacked a rolling pin, til we went to make Xmas cookies...oops!

Are they mittens? Are they gloves?

I love my ipod touch (thanks Dave!) but the only drawback is that in the winter time when I'm wearing gloves in the car, I have to take off my gloves to do ipod stuff. I've seen cool fingerless gloves that have a mitten cover over them. I'd love a pair of those!

Smells Good!

Hi, Jan here. I recently got a sample of a lotion that was glorious and wonderful smelling. It was Cashmere Mist by Donna Karan. I believe this product is available at Sephora and makeup counters (you know, like Macys, Bon Ton). I'd like the body lotion, but not the purfume or anything like that. Thanks!

History Lesson

Space Invaders Extreme (for Nintendo DS), a fresh new take on one of the founding cornerstones of electronic gaming, has been earning rave reviews from critics young and old. But I guess it hasn't been earning big bucks, 'cause the price has just been halved to ten measly dollars at Gamestop. But the publisher's significant revenue loss could very well be my gain!

Cheapies!

Who would think to buy videogames at Blockbuster Video? Well, turns out their prices for some older, used games are way better than Gamestop's. These awesome games are all $14.99 or less... and rumor is, they'll be marked "Buy 1 Get 1 Free" starting Dec. 23.

XBox 360
Beautiful Katamari
Earth Defense Force
Grand Theft Auto IV (is supposed to drop to $14.99 by the time of the BOGO sale)
Rockstar Table Tennis
Star Trek: Legacy
Virtua Fighter 5

Wii
Elebits
Geometry Wars Galaxies
Nights
No More Heroes

Nintendo DS
Professor Layton and the Curious Village

The Soul Still Burns!

It's the 15th Century, and warriors from all over the globe, from stoic samurai to armor-clad knights to swishy vampire fencers to Olympian Goddesses to...Yoda, for some reason... are battling each other for possession of a magical cursed sword that transforms you into a malformed, soulless demon. That's the ridiculously Japanese premise for Soul Calibur IV (XBox 360, 59.99), still the very best one-on-one swordfighting game in town after four installments. HINT!: Though it still seems to be full price at most stores, it's only $20 if you're lucky enough to find one at Radio Shack.

Games, of course

Guitar Hero: World Tour (XBox 360, $59.99 for the no-extra-plastic-instruments version) is just like Rock Band (which you've probably played with me by now) only with a whole different set of songs, and a track editor to let you compose your own. HINT!: It's on sale this week at Circuit City for only $44.95!

1600 = $20.00 ?!?

You can buy Microsoft points as a giftcard at a store. Then I redeem them to download more songs for Rock Band onto my XBox. Hello, "No Doubt" Greatest Hits album!

New York and Company

When Dave and I are at the mall, we usually go right by the store, New York and Company, but something compelled us to go yesterday. We were at the Carousel Mall, shopping for Christmas presents. But you know how when you go shopping for other people, you see everything for yourself? Well, NY and Co was having insane deals!!! They had tons of stuff on the $7.99 rack...I bought some shirts and work pants! (I'm just telling you, 'since you should look there for stuff for your self !!)
Let's get to the point. There were two things th
at I wanted to buy, but Dave said, wait, stop, lets put these on the blog and hope they can be X-mas presents.  Here are the Jan picks:

1. Black and White Plaid Coat, Size 10. It fits perfect, soft, comfyness. It was a dream coat. And its FIFTY percent off!! How can you go wrong!? I know I can't. Here are pictures:

2. In an earlier post, I mentioned that I wanted some cute black pj/comfy pants. I found perfect ones at this store. They call them Yoga pants. Size M please.

The best thing I've ever seen

EDIT: My ma spilled the beans. She got me one of these already! Thanks Ma!!!

We saw this in a Bed Bath and Beyond catalog. It is just the thing to make all of my bathroom dreams come alive! You can read books/mags, have snacks, and balance soaps!
It is the Umbra Aquala Bath Caddy. Before you go to BBB though, talk to us 'cause we have a thousand coupons for BBB. (Maybe you get them too? We get like...5 in the mail every day).

Speaking of new bathrooms, I'd love to have a few new hand towels/bath towels to go in the new bathroom. Not neccessarily hot pink, but other bright colors that you think would coordinate nicely.

And how 'bout some neat new hand soaps! I can't wait!

Body Butter

I've always wanted some body butter from Body Shop, but I've never bought any! But when I'm in the store, I always take about 10 squishes of it, cause its nice and soft. I would enjoy any flavor that smells great to you.

Just a reminder

Since this blog is the same one we've used for the past few years, please only get us stuff from the posts for this year, or else we might get doubles or triples happening.

Sweaters and Shirts

I'd like some new sweaters. Just something cozy and cute. Size L, unless it looks weirdly big, and then a M. Also, I need some plain, long sleeved shirts, 'cause I like to wear them under those new sweaters you got me.

Thank you!
PS: I think whiskey tastes like cardboard. Does anyone know what I mean?

"Well Ellen, I do like a drink..."

Since the last two shows I've done have made specific reference to whiskey-and-sodas, I decided to order one at a really fancy restaurant, and was embarrassed at not knowing what kind of whiskey to ask for. I never really drank whiskey before, but I do really like whiskey and soda now. I wish I had a couple of favorite go-to brands, a good cheap kind, a good expensive kind, you know?

What's your favorite whiskey? Wanna get me a bottle of it for Christmas? Sure ya do.
