You have almost certainly seen some member of The State in some higher-profile venture (like Reno! 911, perhaps). But the original NYU comedy troupe from the early nineties produced some of the smartest (and dumbest, at the same time, which is kinda the point) sketch comedy you've never heard of. The original MTV series was stranded in limbo for nearly fifteen years before finally arriving on DVD earlier this year. I must have it.
